R5449 Series: 1-Cell Li-ion Battery Protection IC with Built-in Driver for High-side Nch FETs and Temperature Protection

RICOH has announced a one-cell Li-ion / polymer battery protection IC R5449 series which can drive external high-side Nch MOSFETs and provides a high-accuracy detection at overcharge and overcurrent, and a high-accuracy charge inhibition for 0V battery. This new series IC can reduce the supply current after over-discharge detection to a minimum by stopping the internal circuits. This IC can be used as high precision protectors for smartphones and other electronic gadgets using onboard Li+ / Li-polymer batteries.
