Ultrafast Rectifiers diode in MicroSMP Package with High Power Density and Efficiency
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a 200V Fred Pt ultrafast recovery rectifier diode in the eSMP series MicroSMP(DO-219AD) package which can offer a current rating of upto 2A. Both 1A VS-1EQH02HM3 and 2 A VS-2EQH02HM3 provides space-saving alternatives to rectifiers in the SMA with the measurements of 2.5mm by 1.3mm with a low profile of 0.65mm and they are available in the commercial versions too.
VS-1EQH02HM3 and VS-2EQH02HM3 can utilize 57% less PCB space and increase the power density by providing higher current rating typically reserved for the SMA package in the smaller MicroSMP. These devices have excellent thermal performance due to an asymmetric design with a large metal pad of heat dissipation along with an ultrafast recovery time down to 13ns, reduced Qrr to 11nC and soft recovery over the entire working temperature range of -55 °C to +175 °C.
These devices feature low forward voltage drop down to 0.72 at 1A, It reduces power losses and improves efficiency in high-frequency inverters, DC/DC converters, freewheeling diodes, and power factor correction in automotive engine control units (ECU), anti-lock braking systems (ABS), and HID and LED lighting, telecom and industrial power supplies. The VS-1EQH02HM3 and VS-2EQH02HM3 offer an MSL moisture sensitivity level of 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of +260 °C. RoHS-compliant and halogen-free.
