AZ1084 Low Dropout Linear Regulator
AZ1084 is a Low Dropout Linear Voltage Regulator designed for a wide range of applications. The AZ1084 voltage regulator has a low dropout voltage of 1.5V at 5A of load current. The AZ1084 is available in 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5.0V versions. It is also available in an adjustable version which can set the output voltage with two external resistors.

Brief Description
There are plenty of voltage Regulator ICs such as LM317 and 78XX series. AZ1084 is a Positive Voltage Regulator with low voltage drop at high current value. The maximum voltage drop by LM1084 regulator at 5A of load current is 1.3V. AZ1084 Pinout Pin is similar to LM1084. You can even adjust the regulated output voltage just by using two resistors. AZ1084 comes with an integrated Zener diode for current limiting and thermal shutdown purposes. The AZ1084 regulator is available in TO263, TO263-2, TO-220-3, TO-252-2, TO-252-2, and TO-252-2 Packages.
How to Use AZ1084 Regulator?
Using the AZ1084 voltage regulator is very easy as it requires a minimum number of external components. AZ1084 has the same pin configuration as LM1084. Also, AZ1084 comes with three variants in which two types have fixed regulated output and one is an adjustable regulator. As you can see in the below diagram, this AZ1084 is in adjustable mode and you can vary the regulated output voltage by changing the value of resistor R1 and R2.
In the fixed type regulator of Az1084, the ADJ pin is replaced by GND (Ground) pin. Check the connections for fixed type regulator below:
